Great plot, wonderfully brilliant animation detail, excellent audio choice. Most of the audio for the sound effects were done by voice instead of sound generation. Like all of Miyazaki's films, this movie has everything. Comedy, drama, tragedy, natural disaster, and a sense of the unreal. This movie is a true farewell from Miyazaki, and the ending left me feeling as upset as when I first heard he was retiring.

Esta es la primera pelicula de Hayao Miyazaki que he visto, y puedo decir que es una verdadera obra maestra, rebosa la excelencia, los temas que trata son muy profundos y maravillosos. La historia de Jiro Horikoshi es redonda en su totalidad, su historia me dejó absorto y anonadado, principalmente el final. Me encanta que el protagonista cometa errores, puesto que así es el ser humano, un ser no perfecto con carencias y abundancias. El humano no siempre conseguirá lo que uno quiere, siempre tendrá que sacrificar algo para conseguir sus anhelos.
