john pilger cuts through the propoganda and right down to the bone of what is really at the core of US international policy

Insightful look how US power and influence has adversly affected the emergence of true democratic states, aross Central, and Latin America. I was engrossed, and engaged in equal measure, throughout the film!!

This documentary is an eye opener. You can see that what the empire has been doing abroad is finally coming back home, both in undermining our own Republic as well as the corporate buying up of public assets.

If you are a reader of John Pilger's books and his previous films, then this is a must see.I'm sure that the US Empire are is already undermining the Chavez government and won't be surprised if they'll be saying that Venezuela has weapons of mass destruction soon to give them reason to go in and save democracy as we know it.

The interviews were the best thing about this film, but having watched the three parter on democracy on BBC 2 earlier in the year I learn't nothing new. Unfortunately I fear it's another film preaching to its already converted audience. It was a lot more balanced than I thought it would be.
