The Valet (2006)

Caught by tabloid paparazzi with his mistress Elena, a famous and beautiful fashion model, billionaire Pierre Levasseur tries to avoid a divorce by inventing a preposterous lie. He uses the presence of a passerby in the photo to claim to his wife that it's not him Elena is seeing but the other man, one François Pignon. Pignon is a modest little man who works as a parking valet. To make the story convincing, Elena has to move in with Pignon.

Great dialogue and classically zany. Ended too soon.

You'll work out the plot and the twists are more obvious co-incidence than thinking man's revelation but the pace, wit and general light heartedness made this an enjoyable film for me.

Don't be put off by the seemingly far-fetched nature of the movie's synopsis! While this isn't a summer blockbuster, La Doublure features a well-trained cast working with a witty and light-hearted script. If you seek intelligence and good fun from a movie, go see this now!

This was very funny. I really liked it a lot. The extra's were great too.

J'ai adoré ce film, d'abord pour gad et ensuite parce que il a une très belle morale : Ne pas sous estimer les femmes... et rester simple...
