The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1964)

The buoyant Molly Brown has survived the first crisis of her life—a flood. Sixteen years later she sets out to make her way in the world. She assures the Leadville saloon keeper that she can sing and play the piano, and learns quickly. Soon she marries Johnny Brown, who in a few years will be able to replace the original cigar wrapper wedding ring with a replica in gold and gemstones. The Browns head for Europe and bring a few crowned heads back to Denver for a party that turns into a ballroom brawl. Molly goes to Europe alone, returning on the Titanic. She didn't survive a flood as a baby for the story to end here.

Irrepressible movie musical which is just determined that everybody has a good time.

One of the best movies ever, you really become part of the story!! But my heart goes out to Johny that had to do things he didn't really wanted to do, just proves his love though!!

Molly Brown is a hellcat from backwoods Colorado with a head heap-full of ambition that she's gonna find her a rich husband and marry his ass. Things generally come off without a hitch for her the whole movie through. But Harve Presnell was on "The Pretender", so there's no way I would give this less than 2 stars.

This movie was ok. I did not realize it was going to be a musical. The last half was better than the first half.

Those that don't get this are ignorant to art and true live. This movie was based on the true life story of Molly and Johnny Brown and their rise from rags to riches. Sorry todays youth do not understand quality without special effects. I am not that old either. Just understand good art
