Quite simply the most beautiful and charming works of claymation ever made. If you cannot find something to love in Mary and Max, then you have no soul.

Wow, unexpected, and real. Too many movies and shows stick to the book and make everyone seem so normal. This movie shows the horrible imperfections that plague humanity, but how people struggle through life on a day to day basis. Charming...Dark...worth a read....

Justifiably in IMDb's top 250 films ever made (it's 199th), this Australian stop motion animation is utter, utter brilliance from beginning to end. Crammed full of quotable lines (including "He's scared of outside, which is a disease called homophobia"), this is the kind of move that reminds you what you love about films. More please.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could. I love the sense of humour, the little things the film-maker picked on, tiny jokes in between the plot-lines. A cartoon with elements of silliness, but at the same time so serious. It teaches that there are little elements that shine through all the gloominess that we might see in and around our lives. In simple words: about friendship and learning to accept ourselves.
