The music in this movie is awsome! John Wayne is great in this role as the 'big brother'. Great story. ---I grew up watching about every John Wayne film there is and I gotta say...he's probably my favorite actor of all time. I would rather watch him than any other actor any day!

another good 'psychological western"

Vi esta pelicula a finales de los 70 en la cadena Superstation WTBS cuando esta estacion recien habia adqurido los Estudios MGM y con ellos todas sus peliculas. Tambien daban de otros estudios como esta de PARAMOUNT. Lo interesante es que todas las cintas eran restauradas y estrenadas como si fueran nuevas. Desde entonces la he vuelto a ver unas cuatro veces y no me canso. Porque estos valentones hijos de Katie Elder -todos han tomado caminos diferentes- , que abanonaron a su madre, vuelven al pueblo a sepultarla. Nunca se acordaron de ella y pensando que al morir habria dejado muchas deudas, lo primero que se les ocurre es ir a liquidarlas. Se encuentran que no debia nada, y que a todos les hablaba de sus hijos justificando siempre su ausencia. Tambien se dan cuenta que sus tierras le fueron arrebatadas con trampas. Entonces planean la venganza...
