A really good movie, and interesting insight into papal elections. I wish the popes were still carried around in their thrones with the ostrich fans and the triple tiara. It makes for such wonderful pageantry.

An incredible tale, with exceptional acting. Interesting parallels between the story of a fictional Pope from the Iron Curtain and the real life election of John Paul II.
