The problem isn't that it hits so many traditional rock biopic notes. The problem is that it purports to tell the story of a manufactured 70's all girl band and, when it's over, the character you remember most vividly is the guy who did the manufacturing.

A passionate, insightful look into the 70's rock 'n' roll scene, The Runaways, and what rock 'n' roll "means"(if it means anything at all!). Inspired performances by all involved, with a great visual flavor.

The most entertaining thing about The Runaways, a highly watchable if mostly run-of-the-mill group biopic, is that its writer-director, Floria Sigismondi, has a sixth sense for how the Runaways were bad-angel icons first and a rock & roll band second.

Best surprise Saturday Night Home Theater by Deb...someone knows my peculiarities. Punk cinema jollies. Siding with the critics...............this time. Good flick, sad story, cool chicks that don't deserve better, but got a heaping pile of grace anyway. Deal with it. Based on Cherie Curries book.

Oooh. Based on a true story. I liked this one. It's very confusing at first, but for kids, the acting was good. No drama though, but very entertaining.
