At its best, there's nothing gushy about Dennis Quaid's portrayal of Morris, and more than anything it's his beautifully modulated reserve that holds this film in emotional check.

I honestly LOVE this movie. Yeah, it looked like one for the money, but the pairing of Eastwood and Sheen is excellent. Besides, I find this to be hilarious at times. Eastwood shot some of the best action scenes of his career during this film.

Charlie Sheen did not go on to bigger Oscar-winning fare as most of us thought in the mid-1980s. Instead, he found himself in this slightly unpolished Clint Eastwood starrer. Eastwood is a cop who prefers working alone and yields a gun as often as possible (sounds familiar), teamed up with a rich kid who, unlike Dirty Harry’s sidekicks, doesn’t get seriously injured or killed off. Great jazz score and Eastwood actually delivers some great sequences but it’s nowhere near to being an action classic. Julia a fabulous villain and Braga’s scene (yes, that one) was memorable for its oddness among action ﬁlms, even if it is often cut in TV versions.

Nearly 20 years later, Charlie Sheen hasn't changed a bit. Mr. Eastwood, on the other hand... Movie was a little slow, but I didn't feel like I needed to turn it off.
