The movie was set up in a creepy swampland full of reeds, the acting and characters were good, the story was kind of lame and by the end you get the classic twist that somebody like shyamalan would throw into a movie that makes it even more ridiculous.

Solid cinematography and a truly creepy location set The Reeds up for success. Unfortunately, it devolves into a boring, derivative, and forgettable piece of supernatural horror cinema.

like watching a lost episode of The Outer Limits, but with funny accents. starts slow, but if you have patience it starts to pick up and get good in the second act, although the plot remains slightly muddled throughout.
