How do you get away with burning a school down????

More fun from the St Trinians group. This time, the girls manage to burn the school down! When they're about to be sentenced, a shady individual decides to take them under his wing, much to predictable results. As usual with these movies, it's more about the adults interactions with the girls rather then about the girls themselves. which is alright by me. There's quite a few funny scenes in this one. May have faltered off course towards the end though. Oh well..

This series became least interesting with every new entry; without Alistair Sim, this one isn't very funny.

This is a really good film in the series, it is more like an early carry on film, also stars Diane Holland. who played the fantastic dancing instructor in Hi De Hi, also staring,Cecil Parker,Joyce Grenfell,George Cole,Eric BarkerThorley Walters

Third time the charm? Well, not really. This installment in the orginal and classic St. Trinian's films doesn't actually take place at St. Trinian's at all! The school is a pile of embers at the top of the first reel! Gone, too, is Alistair Sim (everyone's favorite Scrooge) in the drag double role as headmistress and her brother. The up side is this allows more shenanigans from the likes of Joyce Grenfell (a personal favorite) and the supporting cast. But with school girls of St. Trins only set decoration, it's just not the same. There's a remake of the original that's also spawned two sequels (Rupert Everett subs for Sim) but these are inferior goods - stick to the glorious black and white originals!

Highly recommended for you
