This film was merely OK for a lazy rainy day afternoon. It's never laugh out loud funny, but it's not as awful as other movies of it's ilk. The only gripes I had was I couldn't really buy Pedro from Napolean Dynamite as anything approaching a 'tough guy' and I still have no clue how they got the great Robert Davi to cameo. But that aside its a serviceable enough film.

The Pool Boys flew under the radar, but I am glad i picked it up for my viewing pleasure. Lillard, who has always been one of my favorites, gives an excellent performance, and the rest of the supporting cast compliments him quite well. The story is completely improbable and for that I am knocking it down a bit. It is far from the greatest comedy ever made, but you can tell the guys who did American Pie were behind it. Characters, as mentioned above, were well developed and the soundtrack was unbelievable. If you are expecting a comedy as good as the first two American Pie's you'll come away disappointed, but if you go in with a clean plate it is easy to enjoy.

Believe me, I love stupid movies like this but this probably never should have been filmed in the first place. Super cliche and kind of just boring. Wanted to laugh but mostly fell asleep.

4/6/2013: Pretty bad. Gorgeous women, but not enough boobies and not all that funny. Very disappointing.

The statue scene with Brett Davern by the pool was sooo funny!! The movie actually has some really funny actors (Mathew Lillard, Tom Arnold, Brett Davern...). I think the Pool Boys movie is a cult classic in the making!!! And for us guys there are plenty of super hot chicks like Sheena Lee and Rachelle Lefeve...
