In between Kauffman's repetitive platitudes about following one's dreams, the film's actors and director hit many pleasing notes.

It might be good if the songs weren't SO ATROCIOUS. These people would never win a songwriting competition. Yikes.

I usually wait for movies to hit DVD or Netflix. I went with a group to see this and loved it. Possitive message, real life applications and before I knew it, it was over. I waited breathlessly for Les Miz a few years ago, I left wishing I had waited for DVD, this movie was such I pleasant surprise ... I'm glad I went with group.

A lovely family drama about a song writer who is entered into a singing competition. The music was very enjoyable and the story was heart warming and interesting to watch.
