Not a bad movie! Eva Mendes is really good in this unusual role for her. I liked the fact that it was a mockumentary, it was well done. I still don't think that it would be that easy for a show like this one to air, but you're always surprised with how far TV can go.

Intense and intelligently handled. Eva Mendes finally proves herself a capable actress in my eyes. I'd be the first person to swear up and down I'd never watch a TV show like the one proposed in LIVE! and yet I couldn't stop watching the film. What does that say about me?

As far as media satire goes, nothing will come close to Network or Natural Born Killers but that doesn't mean there can't be other good ones. Live! being more like the former, was inevitably going to fail to match the subtilties Network presented with its metaphorical intricacies. It does however, match its searing honesty in the portrayal of the cut throat bussiness of the media. The extremities in both act as a metaphor and they both do it well, it is just that Live! is much less subtle in how it does it, which unfortunately makes it too unbelievable.
