As childish as this movie may seem, this movie is still one of my favorites from childhood. It's one of the best portrayals of Tchaikovsky's ballet. I think it has a better ending than the ballet.

This is really well animated and the mouse queen and her son are brilliantly voiced and are properly evil characters which are sadly missing from a lot of kids films now.A hidden little gem this film.

[i]Nutcracker Prince[/i] is great film. It is amazing, will work for everyone as a family movie. It doesn't have the bordom involved with watching same ballet every year, that would turn kids off to this classic story. The movie is fun and a good family recommendation.

The animation's flat, the plot and dialogue sounds dull, and the movie is overall forgettable.
