Very overlooked work of Emile Hirsch. Not for everyone but just proves the talent of Hirsch that gets snubbed by hollywood. True Indie film that is great.

This was a heartfelt story about how a boy, who lives in a farm, copes with his mother's death, and the effect it has on his relationship with his father. The second to final scene was heartbreaking, but the end was abrupt, and made the film seem like only halfway done. However, what you get in the hour and a half of this movie is worth the three stars I give it.

I didn't see this movie as deep or emotional in any way...it just made me think "Wow, that's terrible", and it might've worked if there was an actual plot, but unfortunately there was none. I felt really sick to my stomach though.

Really strong movie, one of those gems you happen to find. One of the best coming-of-age pics I've seen recently, with strong performances that will move you.
