Pro: Looks more like a Universal Horror film than and other '50s sci-fi, probably because Edward G. Ulmer directed. Con: The alien's chief weapon appears to be expository dialogue. Pro and/or Con: My goodness, but he looks like Stan Laurel.

Esta película clase B de ciencia ficción puede no tener los mejores efectos y los mejores actores, pero de alguna manera logra interesar e inquietar al espectador, gracias a su ambiente de misterio y a un extraterrestre que genera tanto simpatía como temor.

"We've got a bad case of the jitters." A so-so B-Movie plot that's saved thanks to the iconic cheesy design of The Man From Planet X, the fishbowl alien bent on world domination. A newspaper man, a professor, a damsel, and some A Bomb suits are our only hope against the alien and his collision course planet. Not genius, but a solid time waster. VF.

The ending was a little weak but overall, it's a suspenseful and interesting sci-fi film with some good creepy atmosphere.

It is amazing how much was done on such a miniscule budget. The only thing about the film that is utterly ridiculous is the alien, otherwise it is moody and atmospheric with decent performances and a good pacing to the film. Well written story.
