The Lovers is an epic romance time travel adventure film. The film tries to implant a mystical air to the past and future characters who somehow will be linked through time,...good idea, lovely locations.....

This movie seriously doesn't get enough credit! Watched it using boxxy software and with subtitles.

A romantic epic journey so masterfully directed and accompanied with stunning cinematography and talented performances. The fault, I would say, in this movie goes back to its rather dragging events and cliche love story.

Forget that The Lovers doesn’t have the courtesy to be fun; no cosmic romance should be so deeply afraid to shoot for the stars. As one of the film’s many forgettable characters so eloquently puts it, “This stinks worse than an oyster’s fart.”

The scenic cinematography by Ben Nott is often beautiful, which distracts, at times, from the fact that the storyline is both convoluted in the most gratuitous way possible and that it’s enacted in the most unengaging way imaginable.
