Fantastic film. Soderbergh's finest, particularly the way in which the story jumps visually but not in its sound.

Steven Soderbergh made a huge comeback and 1998 with the brilliant Out of Sight. And although this movie may not be as flashy as Out of Sight, it is certainly equally brilliant. This hard edged thriller, about Wilson, an aging British criminal just out of prison who travels to L.A. to find his daughter's killer is steeped in regret. Although this film is a memory piece, it is not very nostalgic, Stamp's character is faced with a life of regret because of the choices he has made. And as a thriller, it is very austere and brutal, as Stamp is out for revenge. Although this may be one of Soderbergh's lesser known works, this is certainly one of his best films. A Masterpiece.

Excellent and nonlinear. I enjoy watching Terence Stamp work.

Surprising from word go, and it manages to be referential without being twee. Terence Stamp's performance might be the best by any actor in the modern age.

The best Soderbergh I've seen yet. With him, it's either very hit or very miss with me. This was very hit. I enjoyed every second of it, from the fractured editing style, to the extremely original performances from Stamp, Fonda, Guzman, and the speechless turn from Melissa George, who is turning up in everything I see lately. It's a run-of-the-mill revenge flick, but it's got one of the best car chases, one of the best shootout scenes, some of the best dialogue, and some of the best characters in this genre of film. From the subtleties of Guzman's character wearing a different dictator shirt in every scene, to the English gibberish spewing from Stamp, 'The Limey' is quite enjoyable and memorable.
