one of the better civil war movies ive seen and since im a union reenactor it even adds more 2 it

Wonderful story, but execution of it was a little disappointing. I would have liked to see more in the prison and more of the fighting instead of fight cut fight cut prison. but the small battles were a way for the movie to be made cheaply. What an honor it must have been to be a direct descendant of Robert Adams and his wife. Acting was decent as well, even for the lead actor who is an Adams. I like it a lot. Cinematography was bland, but I got over it. The dialogue was rich in aesthetics, partly because the two main characters are teachers, and the language of the mid0-1800's was completely different from ours now.

this was a good movie in my point of view because it showed that the south was not fighting for slavery they were fighting to protect their way of life
