The Lake House (2006)

When architect Alex Wyler moves into an unusual glass house on stilts over a lake, he discovers a note from the previous tenant in the mailbox--but no one's lived in the house for years. He replies and soon discovers that he's corresponding with a doctor named Kate Forster. Their correspondence, only through the 'magical' mailbox, turns romantic and their paths cross in unexpected ways, but when they try to truly connect, danger looms. They must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it's too late.

BuenÃsima! ;) IncreÃblemente hasta ahora veo esta pelÃcula. Ya antes habÃa visto la versiÃ³n original koreana llamada "Il Mare". Pero la versiÃ³n americana es infinitamente mejor! Mucho mÃ¡s romÃ¡ntica. Mejor logradas las escenas, mejor ritmo de la historia. Mejor diseÃ±o de los personajes. Incluso el final es mucho mejor. Un soundtrack impecable usandolo en los momentos correctos. De las mejores cintas romÃ¡nticas que he visto. Si no la han llegado a ver, hagÃ¡nlo. Altamente recomendada! Ya una de mis favoritas! ;)

The Lake House is a unique film to me. It is not only a simple love story, it is different from all the other romantic films I've seen. It tells the story of two ordinary people- Kate and Alex- who are both parts of an extraordinary love story. For the first time I didn't fully understand the time-shift, but when I watched it for the second time, everything was clear. The Lake House is the most beautiful romantic film I've ever seen.
