Low budget thriller but with some pretty big names. I can see the flaws, but it's still entertaining.

Today I had a really frustrating five chapter bio test.. Oh.. Joy. I thought I was going to do really bad.. I'm not sure how I did.. but I dont think I did 'really bad'.. I'm sure I did fine.. I am currently obsessed with Humphrey Bogart.. we watched The Maltese Falcon in my Film class... the film.. had its moments.. I think the directing was very well for the time period at least.. but that man.. has such a presence.. hes gorgeous.. even now.. even in black and white.. even to a girl who could easily be his grand daughter.. Gorgeous. But seriously who names their kid Humphrey?

Totally underrated Kevin Kline murder mystery. Yes it's the late 80s. Yes it's a bit on the ham side. But ham can be delicious.

A quirky film that I enjoy for the simple reason that it is as schizoid as some of the characters in it. I love the office that Nick (Kline) creates for himself, and spent several years in my adolescence hoping to replicate it one day. Would also like to pick up someone like Mastrantonio under similar circumstances as well. Wrong? Maybe. But it had a certain appeal. Alan Rickman and Kline make me chuckle till I snort in this film, and I appreciate the way Sam tackles the problem of the January Man. I have a soft spot for this film and the direction it's coming from. Sure, there was something a little off the mark in the execution, but it still gets full points. Nobody's perfect. But despite its flaws, I love this movie.

Great cast but sadly the plot and direction weren't to par. Boring.
