This was a cute movie of a black kid growning up and hi father dealing with a richer brother

The Inkwellfeels like a film out of sync with itself, as well as a missed opportunity to explore an aspect of black life that seldom makes it to the big screen.

If you by chance saw Tate in his powerful Menace II Society character, O-Dog first and then peeped him in this movie there is no way you could believe it's the same guy. Yet here is Tate doing what he does best, make you believe in his character. He plays a nerdy dude who's off into his own world talking to a wooden doll and riding his bicycle around Martha' Vineyard. I enjoyed this movie...because it taught me a little, not being exposed to the types of people who vacation in Martha' Vineyard. It's definitely worth a look just to watch Tate.

I really enjoyed this movie for some reason. It's one of my favorites. I think it's a great flick; funny, romantic, & entertaining..I love how Larenz tate's character transforms throughout the movie...
