This is one of my all time favorite movies. The story line is moving and the music is a real pick me up. You cant watch this and not get addicted to the tunes in it. Now I want to go watch it again!

Who thought that New Kids On the Block would turn out to be the most influential group of the ’90s? Anyone who was paying attention to history, of course. That’s why The Idolmaker is so fascinating. Based on the guy who gave us Fabian and Frankie, it understands the inevitable pattern that repeats itself time and time again.

A great movie with a touch of cheese. The acting and story are pretty damn good. The tunes are catchy and fit well with the film's 50s-60s time period. Ray Sharkey really shines in this role as the producer/ idolmaker. Peter Gallagher and Joe Pantoliano (The Sopranos) had their debut in this movie and played their parts well. Catch a small part by Marcia from the Brady Bunch. If you're into musical biographies, this just might be the movie for you!
