The Hunt is definitely controversial, but it’s an equal-opportunity offender that forgoes partisanship to poke bloody, gory fun at everybody.

Interesting if unoriginal 'battle royale' esque plot that tries to shoehorn action, comedy and satire into one picture. Sadly it's a swing and a miss with some distracting 'mouth acting' from gilpin, below par visual effects and generally bad pacing and screenplay. This could've been an awesome horror or comedy if they had leaned harder into the genre and so what was produced ultimately feels out of sync with its own logic. I suppose it could be recommended if you're a fan of action thrillers as it does a fair job of throwing the violence at you from start to finish.

Great film. Very clever. Loved the dialogue. I am surprised it is not rated higher. In these times of repetitive films I found it interesting and fun.

Rage — shared by characters on both sides, even as they direct it at each other — is what “The Hunt” is all about. Anger is the source of its humor and its horror, both of which are fairly effective. The fights and shootouts are brisk and brutal. The dialogue pops with inventive profanity and familiar varieties of name-calling and woke-speak.
