The Honeymoon Killers (1970)

Martha Beck, an obese nurse who is desperately lonely, joins a "correspondence club" and finds a romantic pen pal in Ray Fernandez. Martha falls hard for Ray, and is intent on sticking with him even when she discovers he's a con man who seduces lonely single women, kills them and then takes their money. She poses as Ray's sister and joins Ray on a wild killing spree, fueled by her lingering concern that Ray will leave her for one of his marks.

'I now pronounce you maniacs and wife. You may KILL the bride.' Getting Married was Routine... A corrosive cult thriller; expressionless expressionism--Murder, greed, and an obsessive, desperate love story. And it's all true... For a film by a one-and-only-time filmmaker, it's very noteworthy in the annals of American independent film history!!

qurky, weird, somewhat disturbing film based on a true story about an odd couple: the guy is a lothario who marries women for money and his g/f then kills them........fellas: you won't want to date a fat girl after seeing this!

The Honeymoon Killers is definitely a classic film that's incredibly made. And even though it may not be as shocking as it once was, it's a fascinating thriller in the same vein as some of the films of Hitchcock and Clouzot... the lack of a climax was disappointing but it kept me interested. The characters of Martha and Ray are so memorable. I'd definitely recommend it.

A highly entertaining schlock-fest based on a true story.

When they kill Janet Fay I'm gleeful because she's such an annoying bitch.
