Just finished Guilt Trip and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Great way to spent a Sunday Evening. Lots of laughs, and just a few near tears. :) I like Seth Rogen in about anything he's in, and Barbara Streisand was great in this too. They really came off well together. Maybe it was low expectations from the other reviews, but I really liked this one. Worth watching in my book.

I'll be honest, I went into this movie with very low expectations. My thoughts on the matter changed very quickly. This movie has an incredible feeling of sincerity, and feels about as real as a movie can get. Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand were phenomenal, and genuinely funny throughout the whole movie. A heartwarming finale really rounded off one of my favorite movies of the year in a year of really bad movies. 9.

I was thankful it grew enough on me that I didn't end up pulling all of my hair out while watching it unfold, but I don't think I'll be taking another ride with 'The Guilt Trip' again. (Full Content Review for Parents also available)

A blah comedy. Streisand is good as the Jewish mother, Rogen is so-so as the Jewish son. There just aren't that many laughs, and parts of the film are just plain annoying. It is so-so sitcom jokes punctuated with sitcom sentiment. One of the best parts is an ad-libbed outtake shown at the end. The actors are clearly not the problem, so that leaves the screenplay and the director.
