If Jane Austen or a BrontÃ« sister were inclined to revolve their tale of forbidden love and parlor room intrigue around a Jewish heroine, The Governess would undoubtedly resemble the result.

Naked Jon Rhys Meyers in this film receives two of the stars alone. As much as I love these kinds of movies, this one was waaaaay below par, but the actors did well with what was handed to them.
