It is nice to see something different from a far east culture with a complete different view on the role of government and the placement of individual people in that society. I liked watching this and learned something new about the culture this came from, it is not to be compared with the western film productions or way of thinking to appreciate watching flu.

Coughs and sneezes do indeed spread diseases in this amusingly feverish thriller, a Korean attempt to take back some of those lurgies let loose by Soderbergh's colder-blooded "Contagion."

I've got to say (and this is only an opinion), one of the critical factors of a movie like this is it's emotional appeal. I actually cried when the daughter begged for the army to not shoot her mother. I also felt the struggles that the Main Character went through, to some degree at the very least.

despite featuring mass death and Holocaust imagery... somehow FLU still finds plenty of room for goofy buddy comedy, mawkish romance and routines involving excessive child cutesiness. It is a misjudged mélange of incongruous tones
