Concept was intriguing, but that is where my praise for this movie ends. The acting in particular was laughable. I can say this literally because my wife and I laughed a lot at a movie that wasn't a comedy. And then I cried--yet another "Christian" movie that I would be embarrassed to recommend to anyone. :(

A remake of the 1986 tale. If you're into those Ancient Rome/Christianity Films.. Theres eye candy in the form of the leads.. You might recognize a face or three, one being that o the beautiful Monica Cruz, the sister of Penelope. It adds more to the debate of what happened to Jesus' body and that of the miracles that he performed whilst he was still alive. Its boring in an interesting way I suppose

pedestrian, cliche ridden, nice photography, different slant on an age old story. OK to put on after a hefty easter lunch with a few beers so that when you wake up you will know what the end was.
