The camera angles in this movie gave so much to it, the acting of the main character, the old school special effects were top notch even with such a low budget, the movie is scary and funny wich is kinda weird, also gotta love some old gore, just loving it

Very enjoyable cult classic. Very good visually, although the acting is as you would expect for a group of kids fresh out of college. Very good overall.

"The Evil Dead" is really one of the greatest horror films I've ever seen. It's scary, over-the-top, and just plain disturbing. The gore is over-the-top, and the film has a very creepy atmosphere. The cinematography is also amazing as well; almost every shot is very beautiful and creepy to look at. I highly recommend it for any horror fan.

Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead is a horror classic and is definitely one of my all-time favorites in the horror genre. Does this movie has it's problems? Yes it does, but this movie is just so entertaining that it's easy to look past it's flaws. Writer/director Sam Raimi just does an incredible job at crafting this movie, the story is well told and his directing style for this movie is just so unique. For a 1981 horror film I have to say that this movie actually scared me a bit, I just found some parts in this movie to be very creepy. The film's practical effects are amazing and is one of the reasons why I found this movie to be scary. Bruce Campbell is great as Ash and is one of the reasons why I love this movie. The rest of the cast is fine but nothing special. Overall The Evil Dead is must see for horror fans and is one of best of the horror genre.
