They seriously don't make movies like this anymore. This truly is like the perfect combination of Sixteen Candles and the Breakfast Club and has a deeper storyline than most coming of age movies that are being produced. Easily one of my favorite movies!

This is a wonderful movie about growing up and facing all the challenges of being a teenager on the verge of becoming and adult. Hailee Steinfeld brings a marvelous performance that in one way or another will have everyone feel related to. Woody Harrelson knocks it right out of the park (like always). And the thing I love the most about it is how there's no real villain. Everyone is simply a product of their environment and victims of their own inability to understand themselves and others.

This movie was spectacular. I haven't seen a good movie like this in years. Though some parts were predictable, it was so well executed, it didn't even matter. Hailee really carried this film and I think this should reignite her serious acting career. She made the movie what it is and I loved it!

It feels kind of nice to see an R rated coming-of-age story such as this in the theatre again.
