The Dog Who Saved Christmas (2009)

Zeus, a Labrador Retriever and a former police dog, has lost his bark after his barking ended up blowing off a five-year investigation and his partner can't shoot straight again and ends up at the pound. This movie wasn't as good as what the trailer made it out to be. The dog was cute and all but he didn't do anything drastic or extremely brave to save the famililes Christmas. I was expecting more.

Acting isn't bad, considering how the characters are written. Mario Lopez's voice-over work for Zeus is OK, although the low budget only allows Zeus to be staring at somebody as we hear his thoughts. Oh, Zeus never barks, and the reason is predictable. But it doesn't matter that everything is obvious; this is just some playful silliness for its own sake. Fun enough for a viewing, if you're going to be home (alone or not).

The movie was great for my son, but it was home alone done by a dog that is not really a boy dog. If you have dogs you can tell that it is a girl dog. That is one thing that i hated about this movie and that it seemed like a remake of home alone.
