Fun to watch! The costumes and music add a special element. I am confused by what sins the people sentenced to Hell have committed.

I thought the Devil's Carnival started out a bit slow and struggled to capture attention at first. Partially due to the first few songs which seemed a little too straight forward and simple, However soon after the movie started it picked up and by the time the credits role you have hopefully heard several memorable tunes (my personal favorite is "a Tale for a Penny") and are left wishing for more. If you have any interest in strange yet interesting movies with great music this film is right for you!

Three postmortem sinners find themselves eternally enacting ironic fables in a singing and dancing afterlife. Hell is musical theater, I knew it! From the director of REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA, with the exact same strengths and weaknesses as that project: it's an exciting premise illustrated with colorfully baroque costumes and sets, but it's also a musical that doesn't feature a single memorable tune. It's part of a planned series: it's only an hour long and ends on a mild cliffhanger.
