I get the feeling that Friedkin decided to put the footage out there at the last minute which may explain the documentary's crude form. For those with faith Friedkin's documentary is downright chilling.

The exorcism itself is the least entertaining thing about the movie, even though it eats up a sizable and unbroken chunk of the 68-minute running time.

Very eye-opening and disturbing documentary... I have read many of Fr. Amorth's books and to see some of that in a video documentary made things clearer.
