Unbelievably ridiculous in every possible way...HOWEVER the two stars are awarded to DT for being awesome.

Writer Sally Phillips throws in the odd sharp line (love-shy Katie describes herself as 'a man-vegan') but the clumsily contrived plot and a lack of spark between McDonald (engaging) and Tennant (surprisingly under-par) throw the film fatally off course.

Stunted in its delivery, this British comedy mainly misses its mark. With a phoned-in performance from David Tennant, an over exuberant performance from Alice Eve, and an unmatched and even performance from Kelly MacDonald, The Decoy Bride falls all over the map. The plot is predictable yet unjustified and ultimately overdone. A 'PG' comedy for adults should have been the first red flag.

It's a pretty basic romantic comedy, no real surprises or anything. But it's definitely worth seeing if that's the sort of movie you're in the mood for and/or you love David Tennant!
