This is a story about Tim Burton that was going to make a Superman movie called Superman Lives. The film was a Documentary you get to see the art work for the film during the film you get see the suits that Superman would have wear and how they made it. You get to see how they wrote the story and what they would have put in the story into the film. In the film you get to see Doomsday and Brainiac you get to see them how would make them in the film. If you like Superman movies or comic books that are Superman then you will love this film.

A great documentary that provides a never before seen level of insight into the production of Superman Lives. The only interview not present that would have helped add further insight would be an interview with Nicholas Cage. The film gives insight into the film makers vision for the final product but doesn't give any overall detail and understanding of what the plot of the film would have been.

Many DVDs and Blu-Rays come with a special features documentary detailng the preproduction of the film. It will typically involve a look at the concept art and test footage, as well as interviews with the key players involved. This is exactly like one of those, except the film in question was cancelled towards the end of the preproduction stage. What we have in The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? is a making-of documentary for a film that was never made. And it is a delight to watch.
