Haven't read the book. It was a good movie, but I feel like it left too many questions. Just when they were finally getting somewhere (and not necessarily to save Cayhill from execution), more loose ends came up. I'm a huge fan of O'Donnell and Dunaway and that's probably what held me through to the end.

This is a solid drama thriller starring Gene Hackman and Chris O'Donnell. Based off of a John Grisham novel. Basically about this young lawyer who is sent to defend a man on death row for a hate crime. The young lawyer gets envolved in to something much bigger. The entire cast are solid in their roles. The movie has interesting characters and a solid story. Hackman was great in his role. Worth a watch.

so i started this about halfway through but it was enjoyable and i even felt for Hackman by the end but it just ended abruptly after opening up a whole can of worms but never resolving them
