Romulus, a misunderstood musician turned recluse hiding from personal demons in a New York City cave, finds the frozen body of a young drifter in a tree. The brazen attempt to make something malevolent out of The Chrysler Building caught me off balance. Something of the world of the mentally ill, struggling to understand and make themselves understood, reached me through the direction and performances.

Sam Jackson almost overpowers this "fisher King"-esque murder mystery thriller. His portrayal of a homeless schizophrenic is one of the better performances of his career, and almost overwhelms this otherwise mundane movie. One of the saving graces other than Sam's performance is the visual inventiveness of the "angels in his head". Overall, some nice stuff.
