25 years ago five suburban kids stumbled on a murder in their sleepy hometown and led police to the killer. Two years later The Cassidy Kids Mysteries, a Saturday morning TV show based on their story, made its premiere. A terrifying real-life story became a brightly-lit colorful world of adventure. The characters, rather than the plot, make this an enjoyable movie.

The movie falls apart when it tries to go back and investigate another mystery... I'd trade closure for more moments of comedic brilliance.

interesting indie film. takes place at a reunion of a kids show where the kids who inspired a scooby-doo/hardy boys type show discover what has happened to them over time and what happened to cause the whole thing

Small but solid indy flick that plays with a bunch of interesting genres... real kids "solved" and were traumatized by a murder, had a popular kids' show (a la Hardy Boys) made about their adventure, and years later come back together to do a reality reunion show and discover the hidden truth about the past. Has a lot to say about storytelling, both public and private.
