The Brides of Fu Manchu (1966)

This time Fu Manchu and his army of henchmen are kidnaping the daughters of prominent scientists and taking them to his remote island headquarters. Instead of asking for ransom, Fu demands that the fathers help him to build a death ray, which he intends to use to take over the world. But Fu's archenemy, Nayland Smith of Scotland Yard, is determined not to let that happen.

Better than the first as they seem to have employed 99% of orientals in this one and only Christopher Lee himself isnt. Quite fun in an old style adventure way but i still don't think lee pulls oriental villain off very well. And yet another movie i've had to suggest to Flixster!

Pretty much the only reason to see is for Christopher Lee who is fantastic, the rest of the movie is just dull.

The second Fu Manchu in the series is weaker than the original The Face of Fu Manchu, but still enjoyable hokum.

A decent sequel that ultimately sits very well amongst the full series of films made with Christopher Lee in the title role. Viewed as a single film it's a run-of-the-mill megalomaniac fantasy.

Christopher Lee Plays an Excellent Fu Manchu, his acting throughout this movie is outstanding and stellar. Fu Manchu is kidnapping scientist and their daughters to develop a death ray . But the law is out to stop him. Having been filmed in 1966 this film was good enough to convince me to watch the 2 other Fu Manchu movies staring Christopher Lee, I think this is his best role. 4 stars 3-12-12
