The Brides of Fu Manchu (1966)

This time Fu Manchu and his army of henchmen are kidnaping the daughters of prominent scientists and taking them to his remote island headquarters. Instead of asking for ransom, Fu demands that the fathers help him to build a death ray, which he intends to use to take over the world. But Fu's archenemy, Nayland Smith of Scotland Yard, is determined not to let that happen.

Not a BAD sequel to the first Christopher Lee Fu Manchu movie. At least the protagonist is more believable, but, amazingly, just like the first movie, Manchu has backed himself up with a lot of wimpy Asian henchmen, who are no match for the Heroic British Policemen! Sometimes 5 henchmen against 1 Policeman, guess who wins?

So-so sequel. Not as good as 'The Face of Fu Manchu', but there are still lots of fun set pieces. And while it's kind of stupid having a white actor play an asian character, Lee does a good job in the role.

Better than the first as they seem to have employed 99% of orientals in this one and only Christopher Lee himself isnt. Quite fun in an old style adventure way but i still don't think lee pulls oriental villain off very well. And yet another movie i've had to suggest to Flixster!

The second Fu Manchu in the series is weaker than the original The Face of Fu Manchu, but still enjoyable hokum.

Not a bad entry in the Fu Manchu series but I personally prefer Mask of Fu Manchu w/ Boris Karloff (the best of the lot) & the exploitation take in Blood of Fu Manchu that may be my favorite Jesse Franco movie. Once again w/ Christopher Lee as Chu its more of a cult item that you tune in to see him in the role then being presented w/ an actual 'good' film. Fu Manchu is a mother-fucker it's just too bad that more often then not you're not given a film that matches the sheer presence of such a diabolical character. It's watchable for fans but it hardly ever delivers...as well Chu's henchmen are a sorta weak. They seem to get their asses kicked rather easily even by women. Someone should make another entry in this series & update it by having them all be martial arts masters & have a shit load of kung fu action. Hell Nichols Cage should take the lead. If anything Rob Zombie proved w/ his Grindhouse trailer Werewolf Women of the S S he would be fantastic in the role
