The Black Dakotas (1954)

During the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln sends an emissary with a peace treaty to the Sioux Indians. He also sends a gift of $130,000 in gold. This attracts the attention of Brock Marsh, the secret leader of a Confederate spy ring, who wants to keep the treaty from being signed and to also get his hands on the gold.

A forgettable western that is flatly directed by Ray Nazarro.

The premise is promising, but it falls into too many Fifties Western conventions; the clean-cut hero, the chases, the fist fights... there's a woman in it, and she's got moxie but she's still a woman in a Fifties adventure film and is therefore good for very little. That said, it did keeps my interest.
