The funniest screwball comedy I have seen. Crackling chemistry between Cary Grant and Irene Dunn is the reason the film is rediscovered by every subsequent generation. The salacious dialogue between Dunne and Grant is hilarious and one jump ahead of the censors. Every part is well cast and the film holds up remarkably well, it really does not feel like a period piece. You just know that Hollywood is going to remake this one.

I can't resist a Cary Grant film, especially when he's sabotaging the leading lady's romantic relationships for his own gain, whether he realizes it's for his own gain or not!

My favorite screwball comedy. Most couples have a song that is "their song." Bob and I have "our movie," and this is it. Witty, sophisticated, ridiculous... Cary Grant doing slapstick. It's one of the few comedies that remains funny no matter how often you watch it. After all, who can argue with a custody hearing over a dog--something no one had heard of at the time.
