OK crime caper with Connery as a newly released con putting together a crew to rob a wealthy apartment block and having his very move tracked by the authorities. Still very relevent in todays big bother society.

Saw this little remembered Sidney Lumet caper at the New Bev last night and what a pleasant surprise. A really interesting movie with an amazing cast that is nearly as rich in NYC feeling as "The Taking of Pelham." There's also a bit of Alvin Toffler-era "Future Shock" in there and it's "introducing" an already wacky Christopher Walken. Not perfect, but really entertaining.

BLEEP! BLEEP!! Another entry in the long list of 1970's films fetishizing tape recorders and cameras, this is a lightweight caper starring a balding Connery and a young Cristopher Walken in one of his first roles. Very dated by today's standards and clearly a lesser outing in Lumet's filmography. Good entertainment nevertheless.

Fun but lacks pace and gets a bit muddled. Very dated now.

Great NYC locations elegantly shot but the surefooted direction is hamstrung by the heavy handed surveillance motif.
