I always liked this film. Sean Connery is quite good on this.

This works well as a heist movie and as an example of what makes the '70's the best movie decade ever. I'm glad I stumbled onto this, as I'd never heard of it before. Tarantino was definitely heavily influenced by this for sure. Connery as an 'everyman' type crook, the film debut of the great Christopher Walken, a funky Q Jones score, what more do you want? Put this in your Netflix queue, I'm interested in what others think about this one.

dieser film hat mich eher wuetend gestimmt: die ganze zeit laeuft nebenher ein viel, viel besserer film ab, waehrend wir gezwungen sind, ein unoriginelles, achtzigtausendmal gesehenes caper movie anzuschauen... die abhoerthematik ist hier bloss modische verschnoerkelung eines strunzkonservativen und gelangweilt inszenierten wie gespielten 08/15-krimis. meilenweit von lumets sternstunden entfernt. das einzig spassige besteht darin zuzusehen, wie christopher walken in seinem hollywood-debut sean connery an die wand spielt.

well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie....i think that alan king, chrisopher walken, dick anthony williams, dyan cannon, garrett morris, martin balam, ralph meeker, sean connery, stan gottlieb play good parts/roles throughout this movie....i think that this is a good 1970's movie 2 watch with a good cast thoroughout this movie....i think that the director of this drama/action/adventure/thriller/crime movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect thorughout this movie its a good movie 2 watch n its got a good cast throughout this movie

Following his release from prison, an ex safecracker (Connery) plans a daring raid on a New York appartment block. What he doesn't know is that his every move has been tracked by numerous electronic surveillances. Top notch thriller from Sidney Lumet. The ending is particularly good and Connery is backed up by a great supporting cast including Christopher Walken & Martin Balsam. One of the best movies of the 70's!
