Molly, Val and Gina are graduating college, but on their final night, frustrations are aired. Molly is still looking for real love and Val is beginning to doubt if that is what she has found. "The Allnighter" really is a great film from 1987, a great look on the lives of four friends about to graduate from college and getting ready for the real world. The songs in this film are really great. Susanna Hoffs of the great 1980s pop rock band The Bangles stars in her only big film role. Susanna's mother directed the film.

It's rubbish, of course. But it has got Susanna Hoffs in it and that is definitely worth a star. The director's commentary on the DVD by director and star is a treasure. The film's director - Sue's mom - understandably thinks her film is a lot better than it actually is.

It seemed the 80s weekend adventure film was a fad. The Bangles had a star in frontwoman Susanna Hoffs. But could she save this disaster of a film from failing at the box office? She couldn't even save me from falling asleep. As beautiful as Hoffs is, the film was a complete bore and a mess. Unlike "Modern Girls", this film tried to be coherent and completely failed.
