The Air Up There (1994)

Jimmy Dolan is a college basketball coach who wants a big promotion. To get it, he needs to make a dramatic find. He ends up deep in Africa, hoping to recruit Saleh, a huge basketball prodigy Jimmy glimpsed in a home movie. But Saleh is the chief's son and has responsibilities at home, since the tribe's land is threatened by a mining company with its own hotshot basketball team.

Not many people know this movie, but its great! it makes you laugh, cry, and helps your heart grow!

I remember this awful film. As far as Kevin Bacon goes, this one is a winner in my book. He scouts in Africa and finds the next big thing. Similar to that film with Fraser.

My mother loves this movie. I found it to be entertaining. It cracked me up. Saleh's sister was no joke on the court.

A great fun kids movie. I'm 28 and I remember watching it as a kid and now I'm watching it with my 11 year old who is loving it as well. Does what it's supposed to do, create a smile : )
