The Abolitionists (2016)

On December 10th, 2013 Special Agent Tim Ballard turned in his Homeland Security badge and resigned from his employment with the United States government. He had spent over a decade rescuing children from child sex tourism both domestically and overseas. Though his job was difficult, he was proud that his country was one of very few in the world who was actually doing anything about this problem. However, mired in red tape and bureaucracy, Tim left to begin saving the children that he saw falling out of the purview of the US government. These children constitute over 90% of the children lost to child sex slavery and he could do nothing to help them while in the employment of the US government. This is a story about the lost children and the OURrescue.com jump team's exploits as they investigate and liberate enslaved children from around the world.

This amazing movie is all about bringing awareness to the Operation Underground Railroad and saving children from human trafficking. This is an emotional documentary of their rescues. Definitely a must see

This film is a must see! The Abolitionists follows Tim Ballard, founder and C.E.O. of Operation Underground Railroad, as he and his team travel around the world to rescue children from sex trafficking. The issue of child sex trafficking is a worldwide issue, but there are many people who are unaware of this problem. This film brings to light the facts and statistics of this issue to help raise awareness and bring a stop to this horrific practice. The Abolitionists is a great movie to see, not family friendly, but definitely a movie people need to watch.

This was eye opening and difficult, but SO important to educate ourselves on what is happening inside and outside of our country.

There can be no greater cause than rescuing children from sex slavery and this movie will inspire audiences to join in the fight and stop this plague of human trafficking.
