The characters are vividly real, especially the confused, searching Tex of Matt Dillon, a natural-born star, and the solid, sensible Mason of Jim Metzler, who is also destined for an important career.

A very well done film, based on the novel by S.E. Hinton. Matt Dillon stars in this classic 1982 film. A very well drama film.

I LOVE MATT!!!!!!!!!!!! he is great in this movie and the story is pretty cool to. i cried like 4 times throughout the movie. i would say somethig else about this movie but i didnt really notice anything but matt dillon and how wonderful he was. GOD I LOVE HIM!
