Tell Them Who You Are is a documentary based on the cinematographer Haskell Wexler, his son, Mark Wexler is the director of this documentary on his father. The documentary is also a portrait of Haskell Wexler and features interviews from Jane Fonda, Milos Forman, Julia Roberts and Ron Howard. The style of teh documentary has unusual elements to it but it does start to drag and you want a variety of styles. I found the interaction between son and father became annoying but it was one of the focus points of the film. One-watcher.

The last word on Haskell Wexler's career hasn't been spoken, but it's hard to imagine there's much more to say about him as a bad dad.

Tell Them Who You Are achieves greatness in its climax, which goes beyond the many faces Haskell Wexler shows the world and reveals yet another side, one that seems to surprise even him.

A compelling look at the great cinematographer Haskell Wexler by his photojournalist son Mark.

What we really get from son Mark's unusual take is a sterling movie about fathers (especially famous fathers) and offspring.
