Justin Long stars as Chase Revere, a small-town manager of a local historical museum who finds out about plans for an Indian casino to be built in town. Right over the site of a Revolutionary battlefield that has claimed its meager place in history and where Chase holds the occasional reenactment of the event. Chase vigorously opposes the casino finding an unlikely ally in the town's beautiful but unpredictable town siren, Lucy (Emmanuelle Chriqui), who is trying to find her own closure with an absentee dad by sleeping with all the older guys in her life. Also starring Keir O'Donnell as Chase's best friend who screws anything in skirts and Rob Corddry as the adulterous Mayor Fishback.

Hopefully someday we'll look at Taking Chances as just a flash of a very specific time in our nation's history and we'll be able to laugh at more than just the elements that make it a really solid comedy.

The sense of humor in this film is one of a kind. It's understandable that it has low ratings, probably due to viewers with a lack of an obscure taste in humor. Justin Long portrays a hilariously remarkable American Revolution obsessed character that could not have been played better by anybody else.

Watchable due to justin long but as for the plot there wasnt one, i thought it was gonna be a love story but that fizzled out, none of it connected, quite a pointless film really
